Re: trouble with wiring

For the altenator one positive to positive on battery. One positive to charge controller. Balmor altenator has a designated ground. A click can imply a couple of things. Among them are low battery voltage and poor connections. I assume you have checked battery voltage. For trouble shooting purposes try taking a lead of some sort (jumper cable?) from the ground side of your starter to a designated ground. Check resistances on your wiring to check your connections. Good luck.

Try the engine manual wiring diagram, it may help.

Re: trouble with wiring

You really need someone who understands how the engine should be wired. Hire a professional mechanic and work closely with him/her to learn. Also get Nigel Calder's book "Boat Owner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual".

There's only one way to wire a boat. Correctly. There are no shortcuts. We cant fix your problem on this forum.

Your engine is a safety critical system. If you have the time to learn and do it right follow DeepFrz advice. Otherwise engage a professional.
