The New Garmin ActiveCaptain Web Site

Now that Garmin has updated the ActiveCaptain site, I thought maybe it was time to share what we think of it.

I've been happy to point out all the things I thought Garmin was doing wrong, or when they were just not saying what they were doing at all.

So far, the new AC site seems pretty good. Here are some initial thoughts:

No Flash Player required! This was long overdue.

Good performance, clean, simple interface. Very well done.

Filtering feature works well. It's easy to narrow down the results.

Once a marker is selected, the details column is clean and functional.

So far my biggest beef is that I haven't found a way to sort by fuel price, or by mooring/slip rates. This was a very handy feature when it worked, but of course only as good as the data people had entered.
