Tablet to tiller pilot

Hi anyone,
I would like to make a waypoint on my Navionics chart on my Android Tablet and send the signal to my Simrad TillerPilot TP22 by use of NMEA 0183.
How can I connect the two units? My tablet has a mini USB and Bluetooth.

Re: Tablet to tiller pilot

The simple way is to get a Multi function display that can run Navionix, and accept routes being sent to the plotter via built in wifi. That way you can have the convenience of creating routes on the tablet and the dependability of the hard wired plotter and tiller connection. You will need to know the pinout necessary to wire the plotter correctly to the pilot.

But I do not understand.
I am using "Navionics" charts on my tablet.
The tablet has WiFI but the TillerPilot has NO WiFi??

You need a device to bridge the two. One that speaks both WiFI and NMEA. Like the Brookhouse or Shipmodul multiplexers. I'm sure there are others available as well.

If you are going to buy a device to do it, I would get the vespermarine xb -8000 it is a wifii- N2k and 0183 multiplexer and you get the added benefit of AIS
