Standard horizon ram3+ question

We just bought a standard horizon ram3+ for our standard horizon head unit. One is one top of the egg harbor and the other is in the cabin. It says in multiple places online that it can be used as an intercom system between the 2, but how does that happen. Some one please help us figure it out, thanks.

It's the soft key labelled "IC". You may need to set it up.
