Sonar and speed wheel

I have an ST 4000 Raymarine and ST 60 Tridata set up on my boat,

The Thru hull Depth sounder and speed wheel, Temp Sensor, Etc, have been totally destroyed when the hulls were damaged sitting on rocks,

So I need to replace them totally, With new ones,

Will only Raymarine Depth sounder and speed wheel fit on this system,

Or can I buy another companys ones that will be compatible with the Raymarine and seatalk,

Will they fit with out needing alteration, Plug in to the Raymarine instruments,

Thanks, Brian,

Stick with the Ray sensors. The connectors are different.

Re: Sonar and speed wheel

You can use other stuff but you have to know what to look for. All of the Raymarine transducers are rebranded Airmar transducers. If you find another sensor that meets your requirements all you have to do is cut the plug off and crimp on the connectors that work with your instruments.

That being said the required Raymarine sensors should be cheap. Look here at the Raymarine sensors that say "analog" in the title.

The do look the same to me,

Thanks, Brian,

Re: Sonar and speed wheel

the st60 doesn't even use a connecter. it's just bare wires with female spade connections.

pretty much everything is made by airmar. the brands just put their connectors on it.
