Simrad RS35 VHF any good?

Hi guys looking at buying the above radio to replace my Uniden UM415 that refuses to receive data from my gps. I have a 25% coupon from Ebay so best value is to buy one from the US (no local one's available within shouting distance of price with that deal).

I like the idea of nmea 2000 connectivity, AIS rx, BIG numbers when changing channels and a rotary changer. And most of all, I want a remote mike by the helm. And, Au specific, I'm wanting to confirm that the US model has international channel settings available and that the AIS function is, well, functional downunder. Have any owners got anything good or bad to say about them? All opinions appreciated. Cheers, Jeff.
