Simcard fitted WIFi Router with external antenna

I am about to do major maintenance on my mast, So i thought I should install an antenna to recieve mobile data and wifi signals.
I have seen this on some newer yachts.
Starting at the bottom what simcard fitted internal wifi router that has an external antenna port should I install?
What cable should I install given the mast is 20 metres tall?
What Antenna should I install? how far from the VHF and AIS antenna should it be situated?
I found in Indonesia the Mobile broadband excellent even on the smallest Islands and down the east coast if in close enough had good reception. Also in Marina the WIFI signal without an antenna is poor so I hope to kill 2 problems at once. That might get the brains trust moving I hope.

An outfit called 4G Antenna Shop 4GAS, not sure if they carry ATT stuff (i.e. standard international GSM equivalent stateside)

But they know their stuff.

Best to phone firzt, try to get through to Robert Villanueva

There are specialised "marine" kits available for this, but they are priced accordingly.

I have instead just bought a Teltonika RUT955. It seems to have all the connectivity features that a coastal sailor could desire..: LTE dual SIM, WiFi repeater, 4x Ethernet ports, RS232, RS485, GNSS etc.

Didn't install it yet.

Please note, 4G frequencies in Asia are not the same as in Europe or US. Get the version you really need, if aiming for 4G /LTE.

Bill Wakefield, on CF here, has an extensive blog about what has worked for them for most sailing issues over the years. It is well written, not opinionated much, but focused on the facts of what they did and how it worked/works for them. I recommend reading it and have linked his Cellular and Wifi post below.
