Signet marine reviews anyone?

I have the signet marine smart pack sl175 base model, depth & speed installed on my boat when I purchased her, so far works good simple and basic. Any how I'm looking to add the sl 254 wind instrument and the mast head sensor. I'm looking for something basic and as rugged as possible. I'm looking at the prices and seem pretty high and google hasn't turned up much in terms or reviews. Contacted the sales rep and they claim their systems are the best around ( obviously). Does any one have any experience with their products?

Re: Signet marine reviews anyone?

I have a Signet SmartPak system on my boat. It was a basic system when I bought the boat with speed, depth and wind. Over the years I added the performance module and the nav module and jumbo mast displays. We race therefore I appreciate all the information. The system is better than most out there with the exception that some manufactures are starting to offer color displays.

Re: Signet marine reviews anyone?

I've had Signet for over 23 years on present boat and had them on other boats. The Signet wind instruments are very good, using a military grade components. The depth instruments are just so so. Right now, I need to send mine back. Good news their customer service department is excellent.
