The chances are that the hull is compromised, sad to say. If you can find someone you can trust who is highly knowledgeable about ferrocement construction, that's who to consult. It seems to me Jon Sayer might have osmosed some knowledge from his dad. Might be worth a try.

Hi Ann, (& Jim)
All OK we fixed it straight away, before we met you guys. A splay of 100mm long cracks shooting out from some crushed ferro. Cut out the area and rebuilt using epoxy grout.

Not a container, but equally dangerous to hit.

It was a 60' long dock from Japan's earthquake which devastated the Fukushima nuclear plant.

I was delivering a boat down the West coast as this was washing ashore on the Oregon coast.
I only found out about it when I returned home to Washington State after the delivery, although we did see a lot of huge pieces of styrofoam blocks.
