Shielded cables for Simrad Autopilot

I've been reading over the installation manual for my Simrad AC42 and notice that they require shielded cables for the motor supply and drive unit cables. I was planning to use appropriate sized tinned boat cable to power the computer and hydraulic drive and now am confused if that is the correct stuff. Frankly, I'm not sure I've even seen what I think of as shielded cables for sale in that gauge. By "shielded" do they mean "insulated" or encased in a wire mesh like coax?
I'd appreciate any clarity that anyone can provide.
