| SEA 225 SSB Transceiver Cable?
I recently bought an SEA 225 With a tuner and a navfax for about 400 USD on ebay. When I got the package delivered there were no cables (cab 2250 XXX) to connect the SSB to the tuner. It also needs a 50 Ohm impedance Coax cable running from the ssb to the tuner. In the manual however all the cables are carefully detailed with the gage and colour and it seems that the manufacturer gives you the option of building the cable yourself. I contacted the seller, but there was no response. Does anyone here have a the CAB-2250-xxx cable for the connection between the SSB and the tuner, they would be willing to sell and ship to me ? If not, could anyone make some pictures of their existing setup and cable for this particular ssb so I could build one myself ? thank you Greetings Steven |

Hi Heatherbell Saw your post today and I have too a SEA 225. My installation is complete and working so if you still need I can send you some pictures and tips, specially from RF grounding. However I do not have the manual. I have been looking at the manual with the manufacturer but they do not have any more, and do not print. Can I get a copy of yours ? Regards, Igor |

I've got a SEA 225, also. Unfortunately I don't have a manual, either. If I run up on one I'll be happy to send you a copy. (I've got requests out all over the Internet, so my fingers are crossed!) The 225s seem to be nice radios. If I could figure out how to enable LSB, I would be perfectly satisfied with mine. I think I need a crystal filter to do so, but can't be sure without the manual. As you've already said, SEA is NO help in that department! Anyway, I'll be sure to let you know if I locate a manual. 73 Steve |

Hi Heatherbell, If your antenna tuner is a "SEA 1635," SEA has a cable consisting of the 50 ohm coax and control wires all molded into one cable for convenience. Here's their web address: www.sea-dmi.com I use this cable with my SEA 225 and SEA 1635 tuner, and it does a great job. |

Hi Igorstelli, I've recently acquired a copy of the important parts of the SEA 225 manual. If you would like it, pm me with your email address and I'll send it to you. |
