Screaming Icom

I have an Icom m-502 that starts screaming (sounds like DSC alarm) any time I momentarily use a device like the head or windlass etc. It does this even when the radio is powered off! I have no problems with other devices (radar, gps, etc). I know my lithium battery is full and all connections are good and zero corrosion and proper size wire. I have tried moving the power source around to different breakers but no dice. The only way to shut it up is to pull the fuse or shut the main.
It seems related to surge or such? But nothing else is affected.
Any thoughts appreciated before I buy something else...
