Rudder Reference for Autopilot

I have just acquired a B&G AC42N autopilot computer (relabeled Simrad, I think) to go with my new N2K network and B&G Zeus MFD's. Defender sent me the wrong rudder reference - a B&G RRF-ACP, which is made for the non-Simrad B&G pilots.

Anyone know if it is compatible? Would be a minor PITA to exchange it, since it's already in the UK.

I had wanted the network RF-25, although it's probably not important since the pilot computer will also take a non-networked rudder sensor like the RF-300N. I don't care about having rudder data with the pilot off. But if there is a difference in accuracy or refresh rate, I would care about that. Anyone have any advice?

Ask Simrad (Navico), but I suspect it will not work. Our older B&G linear reference unit would not work with our new Simrad AP (as advised by Simrad) and we had to buy the Simrad linear reference unit (we needed a linear one due to mounting issues). They look and perform identically, but the problem with mixing them is that they have different resistance output values. The AP expects a certain range and needs the correct one.

Again, Navico was very responsive and detailed about it when I contacted them.
