Oops ! You're correct. 17.8mph is only a moderate breeze.

But I was correct that 55mph is a storm.

Anyway, the output is quite low when compared to HAWTs.

In fact, a price quote for their 24V VAWT
$800 for the turbine + charge controller... not too expensive IMHO.

Wow I am truly surprised they replied! Good thing though. And $800. That seems very reasonable. At least compared to past devices such as the Mast-R for something like $3,800. Thanks for the information. It is much appreciated.
