I just acquired an InReach Explorer...good stuff.

OP: Personally I would keep that SSB rig. Options are good and SSB adds a lot of comm options even if it does not (easily) support PACTOR.

Not sure if anybody pointed it out yet, but even if one wanted to lay out the money, new Icom SSB radios are not currently available in the US, due to a spat with the FCC, and there is no estimated date for when a new model will even be available. That leaves commercial grade radios or eBay.

Before you trash the M600. I collect old SSB radios and would gladly pay the shipping.

I use an M600 for ham radio sometimes. Clunky compared to newer marine SSB models but I like their 100% duty cycle.
