Rescue 21 RDF

Anyone know how long your transmission has to be for the USCG Rescue 21 system to get an approximate fix by RDF?

I've heard the Coast Guard ask for assistance more than once in locating a vessel after they heard a brief message calling for help. I know it always took me a long time finding the null on a manual RDF moving the antenna back and forth by hand for navigation, just wondering how fast the new Rescue 21 system is presumably with computer controlled ADFs.

Just by looking at their direction antenna setup in their promotional photos, it should be almost instantaneous to get a LOP or at least no more than a few seconds. However I have no idea how long it would take to get a 2nd or 3rd LOP in order to get a fix. I assume that would depend on how many other VHF ADF's are nearby and their relative positions.
