Re: Replacement instruments?

There are plenty of "boat junkyards" around but you will have to search them out. Check wiring first. The guages you have may be fine. "Ship Wrecked" outside of Sacramento, CA can have lots of interesting junk but I'D your gear and check the wiring first! Good luck!

ebay? There's always threads being started here by people planning on replacing perfectly good, working kit with new stuff.

I Am Not An Electronics Engineer but I would have thought an oscilloscope would have been more useful for debugging transducer issues than a multimeter after you've ruled out obvious connectivity issues (as wyb2 suggested). And obviously visually checked that the wind transducer seems to be moving of course.

If the wind issue is a transducer problem these can often be refurbished. For common stuff like autohelm there's people advertising on eBay (here in the uk anyway) and parts are still sold. Again in the UK, Stowe do masthead wind transducers compatible with various older instruments: Stowe Marine Masthead Unit. There may be similar products made in the US, but if not, sterling is pretty worthless right now so what you lose in postage you gain in exchange rate...
