Remote Control Searchlight

I was wasting time looking for ways to sink even more money into this addictive lifestyle when I thought about adding a remote control searchlight. I sail mostly on the ICW near Melbourne FL and it would be nice to spot the markers and especially those #%$^^@# crab pots.

It could be mounted to the gull striker or on the mast between the radar and the mastheadlight.

I noticed quite a price range between 100 and 900 US$. What is the difference or is it even worth installing?

The Jabsco/Flojet searchlights are pretty good. We have one on our boat and it's essential navigating the river & canals at night. Should be able to mount it easily enough on your mast with an appropriate pedestal. I think the base on ours is about 6" dia and mounts with 4 screws. They come plug & play with extension harnasses & dual station control options. I think we got ours on e-Bay for $135.00
