Raymarine x30 Corepack Mounting

I can't find anything in the installation manual for the X30 corepack about fore & aft vs athwartship mounting. I have mounted mine on a convenient bulkhead, but it runs fore and aft. I wasn't concerned until I read an installation guide for their X5 WheelPilot that specifically stated athwartship mounting. Same company, same autopilot family, but who knows if all the corepacks require athwartship mounting. Anyone out there with experience in this? The Raymarine web site is no help as far as I can tell.
