Valero ,

I think I have found out that it is a short in the card reader so I will be sending it back but thanks so much for your input.

Regards Adrian

Re: Raymarine C80 Series Problem ?

Bummer. How did you determine it was a short? Getting electronics repaired in distant locations can be challenging. Raymarine has a pretty good replacement policy especially on relatively new items. I recall a dealer in Hong Kong so perhaps that would be a good solution for you. Chuck

Thanks Chuck ,
Yes there seems to be two but only one does repairs and the rumour has it that they hang onto it for a very long time before anything gets done but we shall see!

Re: Raymarine C80 Series Problem ?

Adrian, I would contact Raymarine directly and ask that they exchange your unit since it is so new. They do this quite often. Give them the name of the dealer and ask them to contact the dealer about the exchange. Rather than do a repair, they will swap out the unit. No down time this way. I can't hurt to try. Chuck
