Raymarine C80 problems

I have an 8 yr old Raymarine C80 that has stopped working.

When I turn it on, the screen shows all white, then changes to a black border fading into a gray center area.

It had been acting up for a few months, sometimes showing fuzzy screen, sometimes greyed out, but always went back to normal after I powered off and on a few times.

I've had some low voltage problems that have been resolved.

I checked voltage at the unit. There is a 3 pronged plug that plugs into the unit. It shows 13v between pos & neg leads and 1.8 and 5.4 between the other lead and the pos/neg leads. I have no idea what the 3rd lead is.

Raymarine says I need to send them the unit to be repaired. They say it could be a loose connection in the unit, or a board issue, but will be $675 regardless (according to the website).

Anyone have any ideas on resolving this without sending it into Raymarine?
