Raymarine autohelm rotary drive motor rebuild

Has anyone every rebuilt one of these or have a diagram of one? I have a type 100 course computer and a 6001 control head. The control head shows a good heading (fluxgate compass OK) and shows rudder position (rudder sensor OK) So I think it is narrowed down to the Computer or motor. I tried jumping the motor with a 12Volt source and got no movement at all so I think that is my problem. A new unit is about $1400 and if it just a simple DC motor I would think it could be just brushes or something.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas for me?

If I remember, these drive units have an internal clutch that disconnects the drive when the autopilot is off so that you can manually steer. When you applied 12v to the motor, did you also apply 12 v to the clutch?
