Ray 55 vs Ray 218 VHF

Hello!
it's time to renew my vhf: Since all the other stuff installed is by Raymarin (C90W+RD418D Digital Radome Radar Scanner =ALL BRAND NEW)
i thought about Ray55 (260$)or Ray 218 (535$).
can't see any major technical deference but the price.
i will choose the best-can any one tell me who it is?!?!
thanks
Sharon
