Radiolabs

Anybody know if Radiolabs is still in business? I have a marine WiFi antenna and cannot find driver for Win 8. Their website is up, but no response on email and nobody answer phone.

Re: Radiolabs

AFAIK, they're still doing well. Never have been good at answering e-mail. Might have been off for the holidays, so maybe phone call again ??

Win 7 driver doesn't work? Might have though Win 8 would have some built-in backwards compatibility for many drivers...

Re: Radiolabs

Thanks info. Have sent 2 emails, first 3 weeks ago, so I guess they are really, really weak on handling that. Never tried if would work with old software, just thought they would advise before proceeding. Anyway, I'll try their phone numbers again.

Re: Radiolabs

Go ahead - download and try the Win 7 software. Worst thing that would happen is that the software will refuse to install, or antenna still won't work. You won't wreck anything.

GPS via USB isn't rocket science. Most often the driver is some flavour of a generic USB-serial adaptor, and I don't think there are major changes in this area between Win 7 and Win 8.

Thanks advise, tried installing from Radiolabs website, but driver will not install under win8. I'll call them over the weekend + send another email.

Re: Radiolabs

Well, they still don't answer e-mails and still don't pick up phone. I guess they for all practical purposes are out of business.
