I am thinking of mounting an eight to nine foot radar
pole on the aft deck
area of my Beneteau
. The pole would sit on the deck
combing attached to the stern rail with a Garhauer standoff mount.
My question is using life line or 3/16 1x19 wire and turn buckles to brace the pole, one running awarth ship and one running toward the toe rail forward of the pole, both wires would be attached to the pole about 5 feet off the deck,
How would this compare to using the normal 1" stainless tubing for stabilizing the pole.
