Radar Mount Purchase

I am buying a Radar Mast Mount but will (likely) change Radars in the future and would like not to have to buy a new mount later.
My current Radome Scanner Raymarine 18" 2 kW.
Can anyone tell me what mount (configuration not brand) I would be best off to buy even if for my current scanner, I had to do some slight modifications (envision perhaps some small blocks, tab extensions and/or to drill holes?).
I see a 24" 4kW unit in my future but don't know what brand. I have seen that mount manufacturers seam to differentiate between Raymarine, Furuno/JRC and Simrad/Sitex when looking at the 4kW size. There are differences in the 2kW also but they seam to group differently.

Any good advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Extemp.
