I have seen a set of filters for the use of the colour blind. They enable a person to work out what colour the item is even if they are colour blind.

I don't believe you will be harming anyone, but why do you want to use radar? With the scanner at spreader height it will not show anything that is very close to you--which is most important when navigating crowded docks. Why not use your chartplotter asuming you have WAAS enabled? Post someone on the deck as lookout. Also isn't your marina lit up at night? If so your eyeballs are your best navigation device.

If you read his post, you would know.

"I'm doing an offshore class next weekend and wanted to practice using the radar and gps before we went out so it looked like I knew what I was doing"
