No one can use PolarView NS on an iPad because it does not run on the Apple iOS operating system. It runs on MacOS, Unix, and Windows.

Compare at:

Ipad not supported?

Jim,
Shows how much I know about Apple..

We are on our way to the Bahamas again, we've been out for 4 years. At times we do miss the Whaler, but we don't miss Michigan winters.

Re: Polar View on Apple iPad

Hello Terry!

I was wondering if "Meridian28" was the same "Meridian" I knew. Good to hear from you.

POLAR VIEW NS is still my favorite computer-based navigation application, and the developer is still actively working on improvements and providing excellent support. I guess with the application already running on three quite different operating systems, he probably does not have the resources to move it to iOS.

Some of the major chart publishers seem to offer very good applications for iOS and at much-reduced prices compared to their computer-OS versions, making for a lot of competition on that platform.

By the way--Don Jahncke is now living aboard and doing the loop. See his blog at
