I haven't played with sailing simulators in a long time. And while "virtual reality" may make them look more realistic these days...I just found them all to be cerebral enterprises, versus the "gut feel" of sailing. Kinda like trying to have a coffee tasting session on the computer, no matter how good the software
is, it just can't convey the real thing.<G>
Assuming you Dad doesn't view this forum, is there any price
range you are looking at? Does he own a boat, or crew with someone regularly? Maybe there's some kind of sailing gear
or gizmo that he might have a better time with?
If not that, I'd say some of the classic books
would make better entertainment than a saiing simulator. I think there's a post someplace about recommended titles, if not I'm sure folks would chime in.
