New Nav Setup

Hello everyone

Seeking experienced advice on how to setup a nav station for crushing on US waters and the Bahamas

I would like to access Weather reports and forecast
GPS
Use nav charts
Plotting
And the ability to use a auto pilot linked to Nav
Ect

I would like to do this with the least amount of electronics as possible.
I just ordered a refurb, and updated tuff book.

The Tuff book will have a WiFi/LTE card (Verizon)

The tuff book also has gps capability, not sure how good
that option would work.

Other purchased units will be ssb and vhf (icom)

With just that, how would you setup and what service would use? I understand redundancy, with charts and needing manual nav ability

Thanks

Re: New Nav Setup

After doing a little researching, ,on new tech’’ seems the laptop probably isn’t needed.

What do you prefer? I just downloaded a app called pro charts, seems good?
