New Handheld GPS

I want to get a new handheld GPS I was considering the Garmin 72H. As it will be used mainly as a back up it seemed ideal, but there is also the Garmin 62 (s?). The 62 is overkill for my application, but if I can load Google satellite maps or images it would make the cost difference worthwhile. I often take long walks ashore in remote islands and having a satellite image of my location with a position overlaid would be helpful in taking the right track These are remote island in Europe and I am often walking on small tracks not covered by maps, but they usually show up in the Satellite image
So my question is how practical is it to download a satellite image to the Garmin 62? Do I need the s version?
