Re: Need Help Assessing Chartplotter

Hey All

Good info, and much thanx from the newbie trying o sort thru it. The issue, i think/thought i had w/ the chartplotter is that the t y p e of Navionics chip is an older one, Not an SD card. As i do not have it right here , i can't give the specifics. It is older, that's for sure.. 2 GB So, am i to understand that t y p e of card, is still available ?

Ooooppppps, may have confused the issue.

There is NO intention to replace any of the other instruments, i only mentioned them to know how any new chartplotter might interface properly.

The engine hour meter fades in / out for both engines, so that DOES need to be addressed.

again, much thanx to all

They have a standard compact flash card, not a proprietary card, you can read and write to it on a PC. Dealers typically make a chart chip for you or perhaps you can now download the charts and add to a chip yourself, not sure.
