Navigation Technology Education

I would like to get an explanation of the latest technologies (mfd, bluetooth, tablets, synchronizing navigation plans between devices, vector chart capabilities etc etc) so that I can try and figure out what I really want and need. Can you recommend any resources to get educated on all this technology? Thanks.
