Multiple Stereo Mix

I would like to have a stereo system where i have a Primary radio and can choose to have it on both in the saloon speakers, and the cockpit. BUT... then have a second radio that i can turn on just for the saloon, or cockpit makes no real difference, as long as people can be in two places and listening to two different sources.

Thoughts?

Re: Multiple Stereo Mix

if you have two standard 12v auto cd radio players that each have out lets for 4 speakers front and back, left and right connect as you would normally to the first unit but parrelel the speaker wires to play through the second unit and the same speakers.
use fader control to play through fwd speakers on one radio and fader control to play the other radio for back speakers,or balance control if you want music on one side, and the news on the other!!!!

Re: Multiple Stereo Mix

You need a stereo mixer with multiple audio inputs and outputs. This will allow you to send multiple stereo sources to whichever speakers you choose. It's an easy Google search.

Well you asked for thoughts. Why?
Having multiple radios going at one time would not be my idea of a good cruising experience.
I personally have a very hard time with boats with loud radios/music and inflicting it on others. There is a very large problem in our area of ski boats blasting loud music behind them for the skier.
Please don't do something like this.
