MMSI registration

I have my boat VHF registered for MMSI. I bought a new handheld that I will take on deliveries with me so I will have it on a number of different boats. The registration site indicates that I should use the same #. Is this the norm or should I get a separate number? If I get a separate # do I have to edit my info every time I go on a different boat. Any insight appreciated.

Re: MMSI registration

No matter which way you go you will have to edit your "boat" information. Boat name, length, type, etc.
