Just out of curiosity, what is the programming content on the local TV stations while in third world countries?

John

I'll bite my tunge on the "merrits" of US TV programming but I bought a 13-inch flat screen TV/DVD 12-volt unit from www.12volt-travel.com (aimed for truckers and RV'ers) and watching movies has been great.

Just do a Google search for 12 volt Tv's and then pick the one that suits you best. I was really surprised at how many affordable ones there were out there.

There are a few places including Walmart to get a small TV. I have purchased from 12Volt-Travel.com myself and am a big fan of theirs. They are great people and they stand behind their products. Speaking from experience, buy a 12 Volt TV from the 12 volt pros.

Get the extended warantee - The marine environment is harsh on the TV - We got a new one from the big box store when they couldn't fix the original one.

Good idea. I didn't get the extended warranty. They have them available I just didn't do it. TV is working great without a single problem but it's still a great idea. Wish I would have gotten one. Now I won't sleep tonight.
