The RD 33 will display anything you feed it, including engine info. It will display any type of weather map but you will need a remote weather unit such as the Fax30 to send the signal.

Are you sure? The brochure lists engine and weather data:

Yes, you are right -- I see it displays ground wind and baro pressure, but there is not a "weather" screen in the list of screens.

I really need a screen which shows ground wind direction (expressed as compass direction) and speed, preferably with 12 hour or 24 hour history (Maretron doesn't do this), baro pressure with history, temperature inside and outside (preferably with history; Maretron doesn't do this), humidity, sunrise/sunset, moonphase (for tides at a glance), and time.

I would be willing to buy a separate dedicated weather display if such a thing existed (haven't seen one for NMEA 2000).

Here's what the Maretron weater screen looks like (with thanks to Ziggy):

Size:	26.4 KB

This is pretty good. Wish only it had history of wind speed and direction. Do any of the other displays have this?

Looks interesting! Displays wind speed and direction (ground wind) history, unlike Maretron. Full engine data. Now that's worth a look.
yes all teh PGNs displayed are in the manual. At the moment I think its the best NMEA2K display head, tieing with Trition ( but the B&G units is more expensive)

Re: Maretron DSM-250 vs DSM-150

heres the Environmental PGN list for Raymarine

• Air temperature
• Air temperature history
• Barometric pressure
• Barometric pressure history
• Dew point
• Drift
• Drift history
• Humidity
• Min air temperature
• Max air temperature
• Sea temperature
• Sea temperature history
• Min sea temperature
• Max sea temperature
• Set
• Set history
• Set and drift pair
• Sunset / sunrise
• Wind chill apparent
• Wind chill true

The i70 allows you to graph history items, and use a series of software gauges, or digital data boxes, You cant generate the same detail as the DM-250 on one page. But you can get it all over a series of pages.

PS Ive only played with one at various shows, nice though

Have a look at the garmin as well, it does all that as well. Well not sure about wind but it will do a week of barometric

Re: Maretron DSM-250 vs DSM-150

I've never seen one personally but it looks like the Simrad IS40 can do a time graph of pretty much anything.
