Currently my onboard computer is an Odroid XU4 , which is quite fast , with 8 cores with only 5W energy footprint.
Main limitation is the built on 2Gb ram. Some
phone have come out with 8Gb of RAM so I'm wondering how long it will take for these SOCs to reach the raspberry pi market.
Anyone aware of an ARM based platform with high ram loads?
I'm aware of the intel NUCs but these are more like 30w
power footprint. Even the newer Skylake ones peak at over 30w.
There's also a substantial difference in cost, with the Odroid coming in at ~£75 rather than £300 odd for an NUC
