Klockner Moeller IEC 947/en 60947 switch replacement

Probably a stupid question but here goes....

Do I need such a switch as the origional or can I replace it with another with bare contacts. I can't trace the wiring for sure, it disapears into the boat, but I am worried the switch may have to deal with back EMF from the auto pilot motor.

The existing is a momentary button attached to two of the above switches, they are used to switch the display on the plotter to read either the port or the starboard rudder position switches. Default is Port, press to see starboard this allows me to set/check them. The position is displayed on the B&G Zeus 3 plotter. The autopilot is via a hydraulic electric 12vdc motor.

Each switch looks to have 2 x SPST switches, giving 4 x SPST switches. One switch has the common joined the other does not.
