iPhone Mount to Fiberglass??

I'm not sure if they make such a thing. I'm looking for a sturdy way to mount my phone next to my compass and depth finder in the cockpit. I saw a few systems that used adhesive but I wouldn't want to trust it - I'd much rather something that can be screwed or bolted in. Anyone know of anything that'd work for this?

Thanks,

Thomas

Look at the Seasucker solution. Works with a big suction cup, hold well on gelcoat, no drilling.

Ram mounts are the best

Re: iPhone Mount to Fiberglass??

I'd really prefer something that could be drilled or rail mounted versus a suction cup mount..

Re: iPhone Mount to Fiberglass??

The actual RAM mount itself can be screwed or bolted to fiberglass. Mine I fitted like that. You don't have to get the ball mounts etc.

Go to a bicycle store. They have excellent ones for rail mounts. Far in advance of anything for boats. And far, far, far, cheaper!

Re: iPhone Mount to Fiberglass??

I was in the bicycle store yesterday letting them fix a puncture (OK, just at times I am slack and lazy )... they had a whole range of fittings for 1 inch rails or that you could convert to screw in.

Go have a look

Thanks Mark! I look at some on Amazon (my go to for anything I need to buy at this point) and found one that looks perfect. I guess it was designed for bikes or motorcycles so it should be more than enough for me. Thanks again,

-Thomas
