We use a case which clips in to a another plastic section which we attached to oir helm
using old stainless brackets.
We had to use a little butyl tape to stop it sliding around.
The ipad really is useless as a helm device. It's fine down below. It's a power hog, unreadable in sunlight and the apps available aren't what I'd consider suitable for a safety
and mission critical location such as the helm.
We're only using it until we build our new helm and replace all the old instrumentation with a full suite of B&G kit.
