I have a little Black and Decker
inverter. It boasts of doing 1.74 amps!I tried powering my
laptop with it.I figure the
laptop probably needs a bit more than 1.74 amps but I tried it.It seems to power the laptop .The
battery indicator read "98% not charging" .Just like it does when plugged into the shorepower.
With no applications open the CPU reading was minimal. Then I opened Open CPN 2.5.0.After a few moments the CPU went to 100%.Open CPN appeared to
work normally.Battery indicator continued to read 98% not
charging.The
inverter did not get hot and bothered.
So I am wondering if it is ok to run the laptop like this or if there is a risk of damaging it.
