Interphase Twin Colorscope Died

Has anyone had any luck interfacing the Interphase Colorscope transducer (mfg by Airmar) with a different control head? Interphase has been bought out by Garmin and no longer supports it's forward looking sonars. Seems that the 200KHZ (dual feed) transducer should be usable with a different make unit which uses the DB 9 pin connectors..There are 2 9 pin connectors at the control head. One blue and one green..HELP!!

Look at today's article on The Marine Installer's Rant: The fixer. He makes reference to this company: Marine Electronics Repair. Hope it helps!

Re: Interphase Twin Colorscope Died

I just found this article on the future of forward scanning sonars: Forward-Looking Sonar. While Garmin may not be supporting the older Interphase products, it appears something is on the horizon, based on the trail-blazing of Interphase. I have the SE200C, and am a big fan of FLS. To make the future units even more detailed, and faster, seems to be a real benefit for those who want to know what lies in front of them, lurking in wait. Too bad Robert Redford didn't have one, but then, he wouldn't have had another starring role to add to his credits.
