Instrument Displays

We are in the process of upgrading the electronics on our new to us boat. We are sticking with B&G, adding a 7" Zeus2 at the helm. At this time we are not replacing the wind, depth, and speed sensors/displays. That will happen this fall when the rig gets inspected. We have old B&G gauges (4) mounted at the front of the cockpit. You can now get 5" chartplotters, and the new instrument displays are now configurable. If we are not racing do we really need more than a chartplotter at the helm?
