Instrument Data Display on the iPhone

I have put together a low cost solution to display data from your instrument system on your iPhone. All that is needed is a PC on board that is connected to the instrument system. For a while now I have had a a Raymarine PC interface box (E85001) installed installed to provide position data to a PC running Fugawi software used for course planning and position plotting.
By installing the "GPSgate" client app (Real time GPS Tracking solutions - GpsGate.com) and adding the TCP server as an output. Then configuring the PC wifi hardware as an Ad-Hoc network. (IP address and ports need to be set to match in the app)
I get NMEA data streamed to the iPhone which is displayed via the "Midi WiFi" app (Marine Instrument Display WiFi (MID WiFi) for iPhone and iPad (Sailing) and the WiFi upgrade). The app is also capable of supporting polar data and providing sailing performance numbers.

For more details contact me.
