No idea, but I do not think there is anything wrong with my Radar
, it does work well, show land profiles, great for tracking squalls etc.
Coming from my last job, I know a little about Radar
theory and propagation and I believe we may be asking for more than is possible from these inexpensive, small, low power
I used to fish
quite a bit and when fishing
you watch for birds gathering, cause that often means fish
are working bait fish and that's good fishing
Holy grail for Radar on a fishing boat is if it would display birds, I have seen many claims, but never seen birds show up on Radar beyond visual range. I'll believe it when I see it.
It was unbelievable what the Radar on a Longbow Apache was capable of, but that Radome was about four ft and the Radar cost is well into the million of dollars, but even it I don't think would see birds from miles away
