What he said. My vesper does not play well with RayNG. Once I solve the startup error all is well. But it has a 2000 error on every start

I have a AMEC Camino 108 and a Raymarine system, E80, E120, plus lots of other Raymarine stuff. All works fine, no issues.


BTW: It also interfaces with the boat computer running Fugawi and AIS shows up there as well.

All Raymarine units accept AIS data using the 38k NMEA serial port. 99.9% of all AIS units have this interface. Also, Raymarine accepts AIS data from NMEA-2000 interface. Raymarine use their own connector for this but the wires are universal so it is possible to adapt the wires from any NMEA-2000 source to the Raymarine connector.

Maybe obvious, but they will also connect via NMEA 0183, which every AIS I've seen can "talk" over.

I have the GME and it connected straight away with my Raymarine plotter.

Yep, same here. GME Class B AIS transceiver & VHF Splitter. Easy as connection to our a77 MFD via Ray network (old Ray plus Ray ng), nearly half the price of others & been using it while we cruise east coast of QLD for the past 8 months. Works superbly. Had other boats/ships call me by name as well as various VTS (Brisbane, Hay Point etc)
