Icom 700pro to SCS PTCii usb cables

I'm looking for a pinout diagram for these cables. My understanding is that I can control the radios frequency from the pactor modem or from the laptop separately....depending on which laptop program I use.
My 700 pro has a "remote" 9 pin d-shell connector as well as 2 acc connectors as well as a clone phono input.
I would like to be able to control the radio from the modem or directly from the laptop.
Thanks for any help

Download the Airmail e-mail client here: The Airmail Home Page Install the Airmail program. Within the Airmail help files are the connection pin outs for many radios including the 700Pro. You'll find the connection pin outs and other info under Help -> Index -> Connections -> PTCII to Icom Marine.

Re: Icom 700pro to SCS PTCii usb cables

I have connected the Pactor modem to a ICOM M801 and there is the option to feed the 12 Volts from an external powersupply or from the radio.
Make the connection for the modem from the radio
If you use another powersupply
- you get an hum and noise loop
- in case of a blown fuse in the -12 Volt cable to the transceiver,
and when the fuse in the +12 Volt cable to the transceiver is o
there is a path for the -12 Volt current through the modem: it will burn out.
Greetings, Wilhelm
