your sketch is correct

Yes. The original plan called for a hula-hoop sized device. Sorta like this ( ). The two half loops are insulated from each other and with one lead to each half loop. I closed each loop and stacked them to save space.


At home, I use this antenna to pick up stations at 30 miles if I get it high enough in the attic.
