Some HF autotuners, like the SGC tuners and the SEA tuners, can be used with just about any radio
. They have RF sensing circuits to detect the frequency, and will automatically adjust for best SWR.
Others, like the Icom
tuners, are made to work with "control" cables
which communicate with the transceivers directly.
I don't know about the Codan's....never seen one.
But, who knows what might happen down under? Heck, even the toilet water
circulates in the wrong direction :-)
